Vermont’s ancient, unmaintained public roads are called Class 4 roads. 

They are deeply weird places; idiosyncratic, challenging, and often frustrating. They are also a direct route to that feeling we had as children when we took our bikes on silly adventures in the woods.

This site exists to help others get to that feeling.
