Ride the Ridges 2022
63 miles, 8000 feet of climbing, many off-road sections, one resupply just past mid-way in West Barnett.
If you want to do organized 'rides' in VT, you have to do two: The Ranger and this one. Ride the Ridges has everything that makes VT gravel special: views, big climbs, deep hollows, whacky ass off-road and class 4, and cute towns. This route is kinda like a more aggressive Peacham Fall Fondo, which is probably the organized ride I'd add next to my list of must-do events. Also, doing the organized ride allows you to take advantage of well-placed aid stations. Otherwise, you have to make do with just one resupply at mile 35, a long slog given all the climbing.
All props go to routemaster, Ry Hoffman. I'll definitely be back next year.
